FES
French Club
FES’ French Club offers fun, beginner-friendly French learning for children who are not in French Immersion but still want to build strong language skills. Our program is taught by a dedicated Grade 10 French Immersion student who is known for being patient, detail-oriented, and great at working with younger learners.
To keep the class dynamic, the instructor occasionally brings small treats to boost energy and create a warm atmosphere. During special holidays, students enjoy “Holiday in French” cultural mini-lessons—sometimes paired with themed snacks—to make learning both delicious and memorable.
Our first trial class welcomed over 10 children, many of whom were trying French lessons for the very first time. The response from families has been enthusiastic, and the small-group model ensures each child receives personalized attention.

What Parents Want to Know
How can non-immersion students keep up with French Immersion peers in high school?
Because children start language learning early, they build confidence, pronunciation skills, and listening sensitivity naturally—without pressure. Early exposure helps them view French as a life skill, not just a school subject.
Why is elementary school the easiest time to learn a new language?
Younger children are more willing to speak, less afraid of mistakes, and quick to mimic sounds. These strengths make early learning smooth and enjoyable. (If you have an elementary-aged child, you’re welcome to book a trial class!)
